Silk Screen Printing - Weekend Ticket

This workshop will cover the main areas of a simple but effective form of water based silk-screen printing allowing you time for experimentation and development of your own work. The course is designed for you to learn or re-develop your skills of this most popular printing process. The workshop is open to all and offers an opportunity to work toward a number of possible outcomes. All basic materials such as the screen, ink and proofing paper are included. Specialist paper and a range of inks are available to purchase at the studio. Maximum five persons for course to allow for more quality printing time on the silk-screen table. 

The workshop will include both screen preparation and photo emulsion application, combined with both photographic and hand drawn imagery created on special film for application. A safe use of the exposure-unit and wash out booth along with basic colour mixing and proof printing. Individual course tutorials are available on request. This is workshop is tailor made to suit those who may wish to use the facilities at a later date. This Workshop runs Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm.
